Privacy notice

This explains what personal information D2K collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've written it so a 13-year-old can follow it, because most of the people we hear from are teenagers.

Who we are

D2K Events / Marmalade Jams runs D2K and is responsible for your information (the "data controller").

Contact us about anything in this notice: 07365 200200 · C/O Site Management Consultants, Beacon House, Stokenchurch Business Park, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, HP14 3FE.

What we collect

When you join the crew or fill in a form: your name, mobile number, email, age or date of birth, town, and any social handle you choose to give.

When you apply to perform: the above, plus what you do (DJ, MC, dance, etc.) and any links or clips you send.

When a ticket is bought: the buyer's name, contact details and payment details, plus the attendee's name and age. Payments are processed by our payment provider — we never see full card numbers.

At events: photos and video may be taken (see "Photos & video" below).

Why we use it

To sell tickets and run events safely, including checking ages and contacting a parent or guardian in an emergency (to perform our contract with you and to keep people safe).

To tell you about upcoming D2K events and opportunities, if you asked us to (with your consent — you can stop any time).

To review performer applications (because you asked us to).

To meet legal duties, such as keeping sales records.

Young people

D2K is for 13–17 year olds. Under UK law, people aged 13 and over can agree to receive our messages themselves. Tickets must be paid for by a parent or guardian, who also gives permission to attend.

We only collect what we need, we never sell your information, and we never use it for advertising by other companies.

Who we share it with

Our CRM and messaging platform (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector), which stores contacts and sends texts, WhatsApps and emails for us.

Our payment provider, to process ticket payments.

Venue and security staff on the night, only what they need (for example, the guest list).

Police or other authorities, only if the law requires it or someone is at risk.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. When they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

Crew and marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, or 2 years after we last heard from you.

Ticket and payment records: 6 years, for tax and accounting.

Performer applications: 12 months, unless you perform with us.

Photos & video

We may photograph and film at events to promote D2K. If you or your child don't want to appear, tell us in writing before the event, and tell staff on the night. If something already posted bothers you, message us and we'll take it down.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop us using it for marketing. Reply STOP to any text, or click unsubscribe in any email, to stop messages.
